About

Saturday Club Berlin is a club for bilingual and multi-lingual families, irrespective of national heritage. The goal of the club is twofold: to support the development of English language skills among our children, and to facilitate connections between English-speaking families living in Berlin.

We currently have four offerings on Saturday mornings:

Toddler Hour, 9:15 – 10:15
This offering is for children aged 1 – 3 and their parents. In a typical hour, children and their parents participate in an opening and closing song, listen to a story in English, and then take part in one or more age-appropriate craft and movement activities. Children should be walking and able to take part in a craft activity with help from their parents.

Pre-School Group, 10:30 – 12:00
This offering is for children aged 3 – 6. In a typical session, children participate in an opening and closing song, listen to a story in English, and then take part in one or more craft and movement activities. Children should be prepared to take part in the class on their own, without parents.

School Group, 10:30 – 12:00
We are currently building a new offering for children 6 – 9. This offering will be a mixture between child-driven projects and slightly more academic work, including reading and writing and learning about the world.

Parents Coffee, 10:30 – 12:00
This is an informal group for member parents. It’s an opportunity to sit down, have a cup of coffee or tea, and have a relaxed chat with other English-speaking parents.
